Jamal Ozuna, a standout Class of 2027 guard from Bettye Davis East Anchorage High School, is set to compete with Team GBD 16U on the Puma Circuit.  Standing at 6’3”, Ozuna is known for his smooth game and sharpshooting from beyond the arc, averaging 9 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game.

 

Ozuna played a pivotal role in East Anchorage’s recent success, contributing to the Thunderbirds’ third consecutive Alaska 4A state championship. In the 2025 title game, East Anchorage secured a commanding 43-25 victory over Ketchikan, marking their fourth championship in five years and the 20th in school history.

 

As Team GBD kicks off its Puma NXTPRO Circuit campaign this summer, Ozuna is poised to make a significant impact. His combination of perimeter shooting and defensive prowess makes him a player to watch.
