Da’1 Reid, a 5’11” freshman guard from East Anchorage High School, played both JV and varsity roles during the 2024–25 season. On JV, he averaged 24.3 points, 6.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 2 steals per game. On varsity, he contributed 5.1 points, 2.3 assists, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.5 steals per game off the bench, aiding East Anchorage in securing their third consecutive Alaska 4A state championship.

 

Reid is recognized for his sharpshooting abilities, making him a consistent threat from the perimeter. His court vision and willingness to distribute the ball enhance his team’s offensive dynamics. Additionally, Reid is a crafty finisher around the rim, adept at navigating through traffic and converting difficult shots. Defensively, he applies pressure and demonstrates a keen sense for disrupting opposing plays.

 

As he joins Team GBD 16U for the Puma NXTPRO Circuit, Reid is poised to make a significant impact. His combination of scoring ability, playmaking, and defensive tenacity positions him as a player to watch in the Class of 2028.
